Tym’s recently assisted a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated facility that uses 59 different Special Permits (SP) in 5 different job functions. The company struggled with training compliance based on the complexity that the sheer number of documents and job functions presented. Solution

We started by establishing standardized job functions. We continued by reviewing and cataloging the details of each SP, then categorized them by regulatory type and applicable function. 

Afterwards, Tym’s produced training videos that explained each SP within the series of applicable SPs and as it relates to each job function. These videos were uploaded to an existing Learning Management System (LMS) and assigned to individuals by established job function. Tym’s created an exam for each course, incorporated into the LMS, that satisfied DOT regulations and effectively demonstrated knowledge.
